Hi All! Here are some fun pictures from the past few weeks. Corbin has been doing great and we've been adjusting well :) The girls LOVE him and can't get enough of him. Laisa loves to pick out his "outfits" and comes to his bed every morning to ask what PJ's he is wearing, because she is normally in bed before he has them on. :) A couple days ago I got him ready for bed early so she was what he was wearing. That night I had to change him, for whatever "messy" reason, she woke up the next morning and asked "why did you change him mommy?" LOL That girl cracks up!! Such a little fashion diva :)

Corbin James
Corbin James finally arrived on Friday March 19th @ 10.35pm. Weighing 8 lbs. 4 oz. and 21" long. Friday morning my water broke, I wasn't completely sure it was my water because I was having absolutely NO contractions. So, I called the Dr. office to ask and they told me come in so they could double check. The only problem was I had let my mom borrow my van and David had his truck instead of his work van that morning. Uggg....So, I had my sister take me to the office :) I had my mother in law pick up the girls because I figured if it was my water then would make me stay at the hospital. Well, they confirmed it was my water and then said I could go home and wait it out. :) I went home ate lunch, look a nap and then started watching Rachael Ray :) At about 3.30pm my contractions started and quickly became strong but where still 6 minutes or so apart. David was still at work so I ended up calling him and having him come home. It was really had being at home alone was so nerve racking!! We finally headed to the hospital and got there at about 6.45pm and he was born about 4 hours later. He did great the first 5 hours or so after birth! BUT (and that's a huge BUT!!!) at about 3am the nurses came in to wake me up and tell me he had turned blue 2 different times. They had to give him oxygen both times. They took him down to the NICU because they did not know what was wrong. Thankfully I had him in the nursery with the nurses so they where able to see this happen!! It was a VERY scary time for us! David was already at home sleeping and he had turned down all the phones so no one would wake him up in the morning. It took me about 30 minutes to get a hold of him. Thankfully he finally thought he heard something and went to check. So, the rest of that night was really long for us!! After blood tests and cultures and chest x-rays. The NICU Dr. came in at around 8 am or so and told us he has pneumonia and it's not life threatening. That was the best news we could have ever heard!! He told us he'd have to be on anti biotic for at least 5 days. We had to wait for the blood culture results to know for sure the severity of the pneumonia. Over the weekend they also did a spinal tap on the poor little guy to rule out meningitis, it was negative.
So, I was discharged on Sunday evening and was able to stay in a "parent room" at the hospital. This is a room they provide, free of charge, to parents with children in the NICU. David had a really busy week of work. (Which has been slow since Christmas so he couldn't really turn it down) My sister Marissa ended up taking off of work for us and staying with the girls. We feel very blest to have her there to help us!! It was really hard for me being away from the girls and David for that long!! They came to visit of course but it's not the same. I was really glad I didn't have to go home without Corbin though, that would have extra hard to deal with!! Plus, I was nursing him so that would have made it difficult. The girls where not able to see him the first couple days. On Sunday they saw him for the first time but could not hold or even touch him. They where so happy to see him though!! :) We finally got to bring him home on Wednesday evening.
So, he is 2 weeks old today and is doing so well you wouldn't even know he was sick. :) I'm adjusting to much less sleep and the girls just LOVE their new "baby budder" as Lily says :)

Laisa's 5!!!
My little girl is 5 today. It's amazing how quickly the time goes! She is such a sweetheart and always wanting to help mom and dad, unless it's picking up her toys :P She's a great big sister and I can't wait to see how she'll be with the baby! We had both sets of her grandparents over for dinner last Saturday to celebrate her 5th birthday. I wasn't sure what would be happening on her birthday. :) But, today was just a normal day for us. We had MOPS this morning and she helped me make mini cupcakes to take to her class. They sang Happy Birthday to her and she thought that was pretty special. Then we had some friends over for lunch and later my sister came over with her kids and we sang again and gave her presents from us and them. It was a beautiful day so they spent a lot of time playing outside. Just before bed Aunt Anna, Lauren and Jacob stopped by to drop off a little something for her. Plus, the fun birthday cards she's received in the mail over the last 2 days with a little something extra in them. She was feeling pretty special today! I'll try to get some pictures posted soon. But, I should head to bed for now.
Patience....
Ok, this isn't the best picture of me but I thought I'd share it anyways.Well, I'm convinced that the end of pregnancy is God's way of teaching me patience! It's so hard not knowing when this little one is going to arrive! I only have 3 days until my due date and I'm getting so anxious to see him, hold him, kiss him!!! It doesn't help when you have friends having babies all around you and yours is still nice and comfy inside. :) The good news is, I found out yesterday, if I don't go into labor on my own by Wednesday the 24th they are going to induce me. Yay for knowing that I won't go longer then that!! :)
