Sorry for having such long time spans between posts! Here's a quick update on what's been going on with our family the last couple weeks. Laisa has been taking gymnastic classes at the YMCA. She loves it and is so cute running around in a little leotard. I took some video of her this week but forgot to get a picture. I still haven't figured out how to add videos. :)
I went to Minneapolis, MN for Tastefully Simple's national conference. It was a BLAST!!! They feed us sooo well. Not that I need any help in that area...haha. We got to taste all the deliciously, scrumptious NEW fall/winter items and also sampled some items from vendors that would like TS to add to our product line. Most of those where delicious too!! And we got LOTS of FREE stuff. Did I say I was kid free for 5 days & 4 nights :) Thanks Mom B and Stacia for helping with the kids!! It was a great getaway.
I've had lots of parties since I've been back. Plus, I started coaching gymnastics again at the Y back in June. I do this every Thur evening. For those of you that didn't know, I competed gymnastics at the Y until I was about 16 yrs old, then continued coaching. I stopped coaching shortly after I had Laisa. I really love being back!
This weekend we are going to Ludington, MI with David's sister, DeAnn and her family. We have done this for the past 2 Labor Days. It's a BLAST!! I'll be sure to post pictures when we get back.
David has been working and helping out a lot with the kids. He's such a hard working, supportive husband! I love you, babe!

Fair Fun

We went to our 4-H fair last week and saw animals, rode rides, saw the exhibits (that the kids did, including cousins) & ate to much! It's was lots of fun. We had the most delicious sirloin tips anyone has ever eaten!! I'm not kidding, we wait all year long for these sirloin tips that are at the fair. I've even been known to pay fair entry fees several times in 1 week just to eat more of this once a year, tasty treat!! Wish I'd thought to take a picture of it :) We also enjoyed our usually fair favorites, Tom Thumb donuts & ice cream from the Dairy Barn. I also found a new favorite, salt water taffy. :)
I found it funny that on the way into the fairgrounds, Laisa kept saying how she wanted to go on the "boat ride". I asked David if he had said something to her about it. He said "no, but she went on that ride last year" It's amazing to me that she remembered going on that ride. It was a whole year ago and she was only 2 yrs old.
BTW, the day after we went to the fair, I was excited to find out that our treasured "fair" sirloin tips are know sold at the farmers market in Elkhart. It has only been open for about a year or so. But I can't believe I didn't know this!!! David heard the news from someone at work, I think he may regret that he told me the joyous news :) I'm sure I'll be making a trip there soon :)

Birthday Camping Trip
For my birthday a couple weeks ago we went camping in southern Indiana at Versailles State Park, we had lots of fun! It was a very hilly and pretty area! It was a very hot weekend, so I was glad I choose a park with a pool. Whoever, it was in such a small town that I think it was probably the only thing for the locals to do. The pool was sooo crowded! We opted not to go on Saturday. So we went to visit another nearby park, Clifty Falls State Park. It was a beautiful park. We went hiking in search for the "falls" but we didn't find much flowing water. We saw "trickles" and we would have seen some really neat falls if it wasn't such a dry summer. It was great just being out in the nature. Laisa had lots of fun and was such a trooper walking most of the about 6 miles by herself. I'm not totally sure how many miles we walked but it was about 2 hours. We did find a little stream to play in and I do mean little! But it cooled us off.
Sunday we did go to the pool. It was busy but not as bad as Saturday was. The girls had fun in the kiddie pool. David and I had fun going down the big loopy slide :)
Marissa, my sister, came for a visit and to have dinner with us Sunday afternoon. She lives in Indy which was about 1 1/2 hr away. Marissa the girls and I went to the store in town to pick up some graham crackers and Hershey bars while David started the fire for dinner. On the way back to the park it started to get REALLY dark and it got REALLY windy. It was so windy I started looking for funnel clouds. There was leaves, dirt & trash blowing all over! The trees leaned over almost on there sides. Yet, it was not raining, it was so strange! David said the electric went out a couple times at the campground. When we got back we had to avoid a few large branches that had fallen. It also started to rain and we had to spend some time in the camper. But it stopped raining after about 20 min. Then we had dinner and roasted marshmallows with Aunt Rissa. It turned out to be a nice evening. Here are some pictures of our fun weekend.

Laisa enjoying cherries :)
It was a HOT weekend. This was David's invention to cool the girls off. I thought it was a pretty good idea! It's our water jug hanging from a tree by a bungee cord.
Lily refusing to walk.
The Beebes, people watching...haha! I think they are watching the campsite across from us :)
David and Laisa enjoying marshmallows by the campfire. I guess I should have gotten the fire in the picture :) Oh, well.Clifty Falls State Park
Clifty Falls, the start of our hike....
We found this little stream about halfway through the hike. It was VERY hot so Laisa and I had fun playing in it for a few minutes. This was also about the most flowing water we found.
There was a lot of rough terrain! I was a little nervous in some areas with Laisa walking by herself. Those areas had big drop offs!
Laisa was such a trooper! She was having lots of fun and likes playing with the leaves. She found "daddy, mommy & a baby" leaves :)
Lily was exhausted! It was so much work riding on daddy's back :)
David checking the map to see the best route to take. Lily is on the verge of falling asleep. Friday, August 1, 2008
Chick-fil-A Gets an A Rating
For those of you who know me well. You know how much I LOVE Chick-Fil-A and how often I eat there! I found this article and had to share it :)

Chick-fil-A
Chick-fil-A excels in every category we tested for. With a slew of low-calorie sandwiches, the country’s “healthiest” chicken nugget, a variety of solid sides like fresh fruit and soup that can be substituted into any meal, and nutritional brochures readily available for perusing at each location, Chick-fil-A earns the award for America’s Healthiest Chain Restaurant (for kids, for the adults who drive them there, plus anybody else wise enough to make it their fast food choice).
