Lily's 1st Birthday Party

We had Lily's 1st b-day party this past weekend at Potato Creek. She'll be 1 this Friday, I can't believe she's going to be 1 years old already. She is such a sweetie and then you turn your back and she is such a menace!!! She gets into EVERYTHING and has recently discovered a love for climbing. This would include opening a drawer, climbing inside and getting stuck. Also, she loves water and the bathtub!! The other day I caught her with one leg hiked over the side of the tub trying to climb in, the tub was empty of course. All of this and when it comes to walking, she holds on to you for dear life. :) Anyway, here are some pictures of her party.

Lily's First Word

I was playing with Lily over the weekend, showing her how to use the phone & trying to get her to say "HI" :) Not really thinking she would do it. When all of the sudden she says "HI" It was sooo cute. I couldn't believe it, she was just 11 months on the 27th. I knew if I told David he would just say I imagined it. So I got her saying it on video. We have not figured out how to put the video on the computer yet. However, when we do I'll be sure to post it. She does say the normal baby talk of "mama, dada & baba" but this is her first real word :)

Budding Artist

Laisa was coloring nicely in her coloring book at the dinning room table when I left her. I went to clean out the closet in her bedroom. A few minutes later I went to check on them and found that she decided to add a little color to her and Lily's faces. Luckily she was using washable markers!!!

  1. LOL.....poor Lily, she is always being torchered by Laisa somehow. But she thinks her big sis is the best and almost always smiles or laughs at what Laisa does to her.

Mother's Day Surprise

Happy Mother's Day, all you moms (a little late ;) David was in Annapolis sailing for most of the week. So he sent me flowers for Mother's Day, well the card said from Laisa & Lily but you know who they where really from :) This is a really big deal because he has NEVER had flowers sent to me. So for those of you out there that get flowers sent to them for most special occasions, I REALLY don't want to hear you complain!! (you know who you are..lol) Anyway, I was really excited and thought this was so sweet of him! Even when I found out his brother Mark may have given him the idea :) That's ok, I GOT FLOWERS!! Thanks Mark :)
I ended up getting 2 bouquets. I was happy with the first bouquet (aside from the 3 broken flowers) until I found out the price. It was not a bouquet that should have cost as much as it did. So Monday I called the florist to let them know I didn't "approve", in a very nice way! They said no problem we'll have a new one sent out today. So, here's the 2 bouquets I received. I thought we could do a poll and see which bouquet you think looks like it should cost more.

Who-Ville Puff

Here's Lily with her cute little "who-ville puff" Aunt DeAnn made for her. I know its' not the best picture but it was hard to get her to hold still for the picture. :) She's always on the move!
I told DeAnn I would take a picture of Lily wearing it because it would probably be one of the few times she'd be wearing it. LOL (everyone that knows me knows I'm not at all frilly) Don't worry DeAnn you're not alone. Stacia has tried too. I've picked the girls up from Stacia's house many times and they are wearing some bow that I promptly removed. :-)
Also, notice Laisa's getup in the background. I can't tell you how many times a day she changes her clothes. Oooohh, that girl!
